Brooklyn's Lucas Has Career Day

Yesterday, Richard Lucas had a career day for a baseball player. In six at bats, the third baseman had five hits, upping his average to .357. Interestingly, does not include Lucas in its list of the Mets Top 10 Prospects nor does mention him in their list of the Mets Top 20 Prospects. One reason might be because the 22-year-old only hit .212 in 2010 with St. Lucie. Though he hit 12 homers, his slugging average was only .339.

Maybe now, in his second stint with the Cyclones, Lucas is discovering what he needs to do to succeed in the Mets farm system.
