Since Daryl Strawberry admitted taking cocaine while a Met player, I haven't had much respect for him; however, with his recent statement to the press that he would have used steroids if they were available during his playing days, I have to admire his honesty. He could easily have said that he doesn't know if he would have used steroids or even refused to answer the question. But he didn't do that.
Unfortunately, too few professional athletes, present and former, believe in being honest with the their fans.
