The Mets strange off-season continues

After trading Guillermo Mota to the Brewers for a player they, surprisingly, didn't want, Johnny Estrada, the Mets decided to sign Matt Wise, a reliever whom the Brewers just released.

Last season, Wise was pitching well until, on July 25th, one of his pitches broke Cincinnati's Pedro Lopez's cheekbone. Before that incident, Wise's ERA was 2.76. After, it was 10.45.

If Wise was trying to hit Lopez, which I hope was not the case, he had good reason to be upset. However, if he wasn't trying to hit Lopez, then is his mental makeup so fragile that he can't handle an accidental beaning? If the latter is the case, he doesn't belong in the Mets bullpen.
