Mets Draftee Selected as Indiana's Mr. Baseball

Andrew Reed, the Mets draft choice in the 25th round of the 2011 MLB Draft has been selected as Indiana's Mr. Baseball.

Here's some information from TribStar.com about his performance in his senior year in high school:
Reed hit .585 with 16 home runs, 48 RBIs, and a .722 on-base percentage (47 walks). The 6-foot-4, 230-pound lefty also went 8-1 on the mound with a 1.06 earned-run average. He struck out 108 batters in 66 innings.
An article in the Nation of Blue had this info about Reed.
He is known just as much for his batting as his pitching though. This year A.J. finished his pitching stats with 108 strikeouts and 11 walks in 66 innings. He’s got a top speed fastball of 94 mph, and typically burns them in at 90-91 mph.
The Mets drafted Reed as a pitcher.

He's committed to the University of Kentucky for the fall semester; however, he's awaiting the Mets offer before making his final decision, which he expects to happen in August.
