☛ Matt den Decker made his pro debut with the GCL Mets. He went hitless in three at bats, walking once and striking out once. He batted third and played centerfield.
☛ In the Bigs, the Mets got clobbered 14-1. Starter Jon Niese gave up seven runs in 4.1 innings. Oliver Perez pitched the final two innings. He surrendered four runs on five hits and a walk. His ERA is now 6.70. The Mets appear clueless as to what to do with him.
