Who's better: Reyes or Ramirez?

When Dominican Republic manager Felipe Alou chose Hanley Ramirez as the starting shortstop in the first game of the World Baseball Classic over Jose Reyes, he was making a subtle statement. But then, Ramirez is the better player. Just look at their stats for 2008. Ramirez is a better hitter; Reyes is a better fielder. However, the difference between their hitting stats is more noticeable than the difference between their fielding stats.

Here are some of their 2008 hitting stats:
          OBP SLG OPS
Ramirez: .400 .540 .940
Reyes: .358 .475 .833
