According to the New York Times, the Mets ".202 batting average with RISP . . . on pace to be the second-worst mark in baseball history." The worst is .201. The Mets batting average with RISP is now 54 points below the MLB avg of .256. Worsening matters is that the Mets are “clueless” as to why, says NYTimes.
Obviously, the Mets need help. One suggestion is for Collins to stop fiddling with the lineup so much. A second is to bat d'Arnaud, Granderson, and Cabrera at the bottom of the lineup. A third is that the Mets seek help from someone outside the organization.#Mets with lowest RISP batting avgs in MLB, all < .200:— writerhoward (@metbaseball) July 31, 2016
