Mets farm system not producing
The Mets farm system seems as mellow as Minaya's personality. If the farm system has the talent to keep future Mets team stocked with talent, it's well hidden. Other than a couple of players who are hitting well and a few pitchers who are getting batters out, none of the current Mets prospects is lighting up his league. The future does not bode well for the Mets if what we're seeing now is the best that many of the prospects have to offer. One cause is that Minaya traded away so many prospects. The trade for Santana was a good one, but the one for Putz, so far, seems like a mistake.
