In St. Lucie, Ike Davis finally got an extra-base hit that wasn't a double. In the third inning of yesterday's game against Charlotte, Davis tripled. However, St. Lucie lost 3-1.

In Binghamton, though the B-Mets played an unlucky 13 innings, they won 4-2. Josh Thole got four hits to up his average to .386.

Savannah wasn't as lucky, losing 8-5 to Rome. Robert Carson, who'd been pitching well until yesterday, yielded 12 hits and seven runs (five earned) in six innings.

In Buffalo, the Bisons lost again, 4-0. Nick Evans continues to hit atrociously. He's now batting .094. How he could play so well while with the big club yet so poorly with the Bisons mystifies me.

Read an interesting ranking of Mets prospects here.
